TC 51 Apparel Co. is a proud Florida-based brand, founded on deep respect for family, faith, freedom, and a legacy of service. Rooted in these values, our company honors the life and dedication of Richard Edwin Bennett—better known as Peanut—a man who continues to exemplify them every day.

Peanut’s journey of service began in 1968 when he joined the United States Army, serving two tours in Vietnam as part of the 1st and 9th Cavalry units. His bravery and dedication earned him two Purple Hearts and two Bronze Stars. After returning home, he married the love of his life, Melanie, in 1971, raised two children, and dedicated his career to law enforcement—first in Taylor County and later with the State of Florida. Even after retiring from full-time service, he remains an integral part of the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department reserve unit, always committed to protecting and serving his community.

Our name, TC 51, combines "TC" for Taylor County with "51," Peanut’s radio number—a lasting symbol of his dedication to faith, family, and service.
